Our partner schools always assign classes in a Program format. Normally a Program is comprised of weekly classes where the same students receive tutoring from the same tutor. Most programs last 8 to 12 weeks when a tutor teaches the same students during the entire Program on a regular basis. A small number of programs are short when a tutor teaches the same students once or twice, or less then 5 times.
For example, Program 12345 refers to a class where the same TUTOR teaches 3 students (Mary, Tom and Jack) at 20:00 pm on Mondays for the duration of 8 to 12 weeks. In some cases, programs might be postponed for a few weeks due to holidays or the schools’ special needs. Sometimes, the students in a Program or other information about Programs might change, but you can always recognize programs by Program ID.
Students always want to see the same tutor every class due to integrity and stability of learning experience. Young Chinese kids always need some time to get familiar with the same tutor to be engaged in the online learning experience. However, once a tutor has to cancel classes in a Program, the students have to go through ice breaking process all over again and the new tutor might not fit into the students’ needs as they are used to the previous tutor’s teaching style, which would largely affect their learning experience. Therefore it is very difficult for students, parents and schools to accept changing tutor too many times in a specific Program.
