All the tutors will have a cumulative QC (Quality Control) score, which is determined by the schools based on the Rubrics and is used to measure a tutor’s overall tutoring qualities (please refer to the QC Rubrics under the recourse tab). Both partner schools and ALO7 believe that a tutor’s performance cannot be determined by one or two classes, as he/she may face difficult students, who may affect the performances. Thus, all the QC scores will be cumulative. Please note that the schools play a very important role in rating a tutor’s performance, as they need to make sure tutors meet the basic requirement so that their students could enjoy learning. ALO7 works with the schools and make sure their ratings are based on the QC Rubrics. Remember, not all the classes of a tutor will be watched and rated by the schools, as you may have over a hundred classes in a month. For a tutor, the schools will randomly select at least one class per week and rate his/her performance in that classes.
We will adapt the absolute number when we determine the performance level of a tutor as ALO7 believe that with learning and improving, a tutor could meet a higher QC score and ALO7 also believe all of our tutors have the potential to achieve the success. QC score is not curved and the goal is for all tutors to receive the highest incentives possible.
ALO7 strongly encourage tutors to go through the Rubrics carefully and if you could review some of your classes based on the Rubrics, it would better help you to perform in the future. The detailed explanation regarding Rubrics can be found in the “Resource” tab on the tutor website.
